Sanitation

Sanitation plays a vital role in preventing diseases by managing waste effectively and ensuring clean water access. This is especially important in Africa, where only 31% of the population has access to safely managed sanitation (UNICEF). Sanitation challenges are significant, and tackling them is vital for fighting waterborne diseases and improving community health. ASKAAN is actively involved in addressing these challenges in Senegal through a program that promotes modern latrines, aiming to create healthier and more sustainable living conditions.
