As part of the USAID/Access SAGAL campaign, ASKAAN supported the improvement of sanitation and hygiene practices in six regions of Senegal. Our team’s main objective was to raise awareness and change behavior within communities by advocating for the use of modern latrines and the adoption of improved hygiene protocols. In pursuit of these goals, main activities included increasing access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation. This involved the establishment of sustainable water systems and the provision of essential sanitation products and services. Our team also established a structured governance framework to ensure equitable and sustainable benefits for all members of the community.
