Adolescent and youth reproductive health initiatives address the unique sexual and reproductive health needs of young people, including access to information, services, and resources for preventing unintended pregnancies and promoting healthy behaviors. Unfortunately, Africa has the highest number of births for women between the ages of 15 to 19 (WHO). Investing in adolescent and youth reproductive health is vital for reducing this number, and improving overall health outcomes for this population group. ASKAAN addresses this issue through community and context-specific programs like ISMEA.
